Hermann Johann Matthäus Höfle (German: [ˈhɛʁman ˈhøːflə] ; 12 September 1898 – 9 December 1947) was a German military officer and SS-Obergruppenführer during the Nazi era who served as a Higher SS and Police Leader (HSSPF) in Germany and in Slovakia. At the end of the Second World War, he was tried for war crimes, convicted and executed in Czechoslovakia.
