High Adventure bases are outdoor recreation facilities operated at the national level by Scouting America. Each of the four bases offers training and wilderness programs such as canoeing, backpacking, and sailing.
Scouting America owns four High Adventure bases: Philmont Scout Ranch (New Mexico), Sea Base (Florida Keys, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas), Northern Tier (Minnesota, Manitoba, and Ontario), and Summit Bechtel Reserve (West Virginia).
