Hou Yu-ih (Chinese: 侯友宜; pinyin: Hóu Yǒuyí; born 6 June 1956) is a Taiwanese politician, criminologist, and former police officer. He has been the incumbent mayor of New Taipei since 25 December 2018. Previously, he served as Director-General of the National Police Agency from 2006 to 2008 and as acting mayor of New Taipei City from October 2015 to January 2016. He was the Kuomintang's official candidate for the 2024 Taiwanese presidential elections. He first joined the party during the leadership of Chiang Kai-shek.
