Ian Chapman (physicist)

Sir Ian Trevelyan Chapman FREng FRS FInstP is a British physicist who is the chief executive of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). On 25 February 2025, it was announced by UK Science Minister Lord Vallance that Chapman would be stepping down as CEO of UKAEA in the summer of 2025 in order to become the new CEO of UK Research and Innovation, the UK research funding agency.
