Idly Kadai (transl. Idli Shop) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language drama film written, directed and co-produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar Films, in association with Dawn Pictures. The film stars Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, alongside Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, P. Samuthirakani and Rajkiran.
The film was officially announced in September 2024 under the tentative titles D52 and DD4, as it is Dhanush's 52nd and fourth film as a lead actor and director respectively, and the official title was announced a few days later. Principal photography began the same month. It was for the most part in Chennai, while a sporadic schedule was held in Thailand, before wrapping by late April 2025. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Kiran Koushik and editing by Prasanna GK.
Idly Kadai was initially scheduled to be released on 10 April 2025, but was postponed due to production not being complete at the time. It is now scheduled to release worldwide on 1 October 2025 in theatres.
