In the Loop is a 2009 British satirical black comedy film directed by Armando Iannucci. It is a spin-off from Iannucci's television series The Thick of It (2005–12), and satirises British-American politics, in particular the invasion of Iraq. The film was nominated for the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
