Jean-Antoine Nollet (French: [ʒɑ̃ ɑ̃twan nole]; 19 November 1700 – 25 April 1770) was a French clergyman and physicist who conducted a number of experiments with electricity and discovered osmosis. As a deacon in the Catholic Church, he was also known as Abbé Nollet.
