Jennifer Marie Short (born 1971) is a United States Air Force lieutenant general who last served as the senior military assistant to the secretary of defense from October 2024 to February 2025. She most recently served as the director of legislative affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. Prior to that she served as the deputy director for strategic planning and policy at United States Indo-Pacific Command.
Lieutenant General Short is a command pilot with more than 1,800 hours in the A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog).
