Jerod Andrew Mayo Sr. (born February 23, 1986) is an American professional football coach and former linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons with the New England Patriots. He also served as the head coach of the Patriots in 2024. Mayo played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers, receiving first-team All-SEC honors, and was selected by the Patriots 10th overall in the 2008 NFL draft.

During his playing career, Mayo was named Defensive Rookie of the Year, earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2010 after leading the league in tackles, and received two Pro Bowl selections. Mayo rejoined the Patriots to serve as the inside linebackers coach, a position he held from 2019 to 2023. In 2024, he was named head coach, but was fired after his only season.
