Jiří Čížek (August 24, 1938 – December 24, 2024) was a Distinguished Emeritus professor at University of Waterloo in Canada. In 1966 he reformulated the coupled cluster method (originally developed in the 1950s for nuclear physics) for the study of electron correlation in atoms and molecules (and later worked together with colleague Josef Paldus). He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and has been honored by the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science.
