John Brahan (June 8, 1774 – July 5, 1834) was a resident of the frontier-era U.S. South. He was a land speculator, public official, and militia officer in Tennessee and Alabama. In 1819 he resigned from his job as receiver of public monies at the public land office in Huntsville, Alabama because the federal bank account was short $80,000.
