Jonathan Charles Smith (born January 18, 1979) is an American college football coach who is currently the head coach at Michigan State University. He was previously the head coach for six seasons at his alma mater, Oregon State University. As a player, he was a four-year starter at quarterback for the Beavers under head coaches Mike Riley and Dennis Erickson.
