Kaleybar (Azerbaijani and Persian: كليبر) is a city in the Central District of Kaleybar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.
In recent years, the city has become a tourist destination due to its proximity to Babak Castle. In addition, as a result of geopolitical developments Kaleybar is gradually replacing Ahar as the capital city of Qareh Dagh region.
