Kasimovsky District (Russian: Каси́мовский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,969 square kilometers (1,146 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kasimov (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 29,602 (2010 Census); 35,365 (2002 Census); 41,422 (1989 Soviet census).
