Keshan, Iraq

Keshan (Kurdish: Keşan) is a small village located in Batifa District of Duhok Governorate, within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It lies near the mountainous border area between Iraq and Turkey.

The village was among several affected by Turkey's 2020 “Claw‑Tiger” military operation, which led to the evacuation of residents due to cross-border bombardments.
