Kimovsky District (Russian: Ки́мовский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-three in Tula Oblast, Russia. As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Kimovsky Municipal District. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,112 square kilometers (429 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kimovsk. Population: 42,853 (2010 Census); 17,116 (2002 Census); 20,480 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Kimovsk accounts for 66.5% of the district's total population.
