Lebanese economic crisis bank robberies and sit-ins

After Lebanese banks began to impose withdrawal limits in 2019, as part of the ongoing liquidity crisis, some of their depositors have resorted to a spate of bank robberies and sit-ins to recover their frozen money. The phenomenon began in January 2022 and was ongoing as of 2023.
