Leiwen is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is within a ten-mile radius of the city of Trier. Leiwen is one of the most significant wine growing municipalities on the Moselle river. The village is located on the banks of the river Moselle.
