Ludolph van Ceulen (German: [ˈluːdɔlf fan ˈkɔʏlən], Dutch: [ˈlydɔl(ə) fɑŋ ˈkøːlə(n)]; 28 January 1540 – 31 December 1610) was a German-Dutch mathematician from Hildesheim. He emigrated to the Netherlands.
