The Communist Party of Israel, commonly known by its Hebrew abbreviation Maki (Hebrew: מק״י), is a communist political party in Israel that forms part of the political alliance known as Hadash. It was founded in 1965 as the New Communist List, or Rakah (רק"ח), after a split in the original Maki.
