Fuji Television sexual harassment scandal

In December 2024, Japanese magazines such as Josei Seven and Shūkan Bunshun reported on sexual harassment and assault allegations against former television personality Masahiro Nakai, and also alleged that executives at the television station Fuji Television (Fuji TV) were involved in covering up the allegations. The scandal led to many advertisers terminating their relationship with Fuji TV and the resignation of senior leadership in January 2025. Due to the scale of the problem, it has been called the Fuji Television problem (フジテレビ問題, Fuji Terebi Mondai) or the Fuji Television incident (フジテレビ騒動, Fuji Terebi Sōdō).
