Medynsky District (Russian: Медынский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kaluga Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,148 square kilometers (443 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Medyn. Population: 12,493 (2021 Census); 13,347 (2010 Census); 13,783 (2002 Census); 14,655 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Medyn accounts for 65.6% of the district's total population.
