Mehdi Bakeri (Persian: مهدی باکری‎; 1954 – 16 March 1985) was an Iranian Azerbaijani military officer and prominent Iranian military figure in the Iran–Iraq War. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tabriz and participated in the Iranian Revolution against the Shah. Following the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War, he joined to the IRGC and was killed in action in Operation Badr during the war.
