Mehregan (Persian: مهرگان) or Jashn-e Mehr (جشن مهر lit. Mithra Festival) is a Zoroastrian and Iranian festival celebrated to honor the yazata Mithra (Persian: Mehr), which is responsible for friendship, affection and love.
