Milan Badelj (Croatian pronunciation: [mǐlan bǎdeʎ]; born 25 February 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for and captains Serie A club Genoa. He was a member of the Croatian squad that finished runners-up in the 2018 FIFA World Cup as well as part of the country's squad at its 2014 edition and the UEFA Euro's editions in 2012, 2016 and 2020.
