Minnal FM (Tamil: மின்னல்) is a Malaysian state owned Indian language radio station, owned and operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia. Most of the shows on the station are aired in Tamil. The channel airs songs in Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu. The station was the first 24-hour Indian language broadcast service in the world, serving as a source of information and entertainment for Malaysian Indians.
The station's name means "thunder" in Tamil. The name was given by then-Minister of Works Samy Vellu.
