Mohammed Esmail Kiram

Sultan Mohammed Esmail Enang Kiram was the head of the Royal House of Sulu from 1950 until his death in 1974. During that period, he was a pretender to the defunct throne of the Sultanate of Sulu as its 33rd Sultan, having enjoyed instances of official recognition as a non-sovereign monarch from the Government of the Philippines after 1962.
