Muara, officially known as Muara Town (Malay: Pekan Muara), is a port town located in the Brunei–Muara District, approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) from the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. As of 2021, the population of the town was 2,539. Muara is officially classified as a settlement under Mukim Serasa, and its postcode is BT1128.
