"Night of Fear" is the debut single by British rock band the Move, written by Roy Wood and produed by Denny Cordell. The song was recorded on the 22nd of October, 1966 in Advision Studios (based in London), first released on the 9th of December (on Deram Records and with the B-side "The Disturbance"), and reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart on the 26th of January, staying for ten weeks in the charts. "Night of Fear" was the first of a string of four consecutive top-5 singles from the group in the United Kingdom, from 1966 to 1968. It would later appear on the 2007 reissue of the group's debut studio album, Move.
