Odex's actions against file-sharing

Between 2007 and 2008, Singapore-based company Odex initiated a series of demands and legal actions against Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Singapore to obtain details of subscribers who they alleged were involved in illegal download activities of content. Odex licenses and releases Japanese anime for local Singapore and regional Southeast Asian consumption, and, as the holder of the licenses in Singapore, was appointed by the copyright holders to submit legal documents and court proceedings on their behalf in Singapore.
