Orenburgsky District (Russian: Оренбу́ргский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,500 square kilometers (2,100 sq mi). Its administrative center is the city of Orenburg (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 74,404 (2010 Census); 65,130 (2002 Census); 58,882 (1989 Soviet census).
