Phanithi Prakash Babu (born 27 September 1963) is an Indian academic and professor. He is serving as vice chancellor of the Central University of Pondicherry. He previously also served as the vice chancellor of the Yogi Vemana University. He was professor at the department of biotechnology and bioinformatics at University of Hyderabad. His research primarily focuses on neurosciences, with a particular emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases.
