Parfenyevsky District (Russian: Парфе́ньевский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,460 square kilometers (950 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Parfenyevo. Population: 4,515 (2021 Census); 6,391 (2010 Census); 7,857 (2002 Census); 8,955 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Parfenyevo accounts for 44.9% of the district's total population.
