Penstemon harringtonii

Penstemon harringtonii, commonly known as Harrington's penstemon and Harrington's beardtongue, is a species of perennial flowering plant in the family Plantaginaceae. P. harringtonii is narrowly endemic to northwestern and north-central Colorado in the United States. It generally populates sandy soil in the arid sagebrush steppe environment. The plant blooms between June and July with pink, blue, and purple flowers. The species is named for botanist Harold Harrington.
