Pokhvistnevsky District (Russian: По́хвистневский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,130 square kilometers (820 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Pokhvistnevo (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 29,027 (2010 Census); 30,180 (2002 Census); 32,437 (1989 Soviet census).
