A prominent Eurosceptic since the early 1990s, Farage's right-wing and anti-immigration domestic views have attracted significant media attention throughout his political career. He is known for his distinctive character and style, including his flamboyant personality, fashion, and social media presence, as well as his form of British right-wing populism. In foreign policy, Farage is an outspoken supporter of US President Donald Trump, whom he has been compared to on several occasions. He has spoken more favourably of Vladimir Putin amidst the Russian invasion of Ukraine than most political leaders, and has been highly critical of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
