• American football:
  • The Pro Football Hall of Fame announces its induction class of 2016, consisting of eight figures: players Brett Favre, Kevin Greene, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace, Ken Stabler, and Dick Stanfel; coach Tony Dungy; and owner Edward DeBartolo, Jr., to be inducted as a contributor.
