Richard Joseph Fagan (born September 1971) is a businessman who created the Kijani Commodity Fund in 2011, later embroiled in a $16bn Ponzi scheme probe. Fagan has never been charged in relation with the probe. He is a shareholder in Kijani Resources Ltd.
Fagan is the captain of the Irish international polo team and also plays for Silex, Opel-Royal Salute, Badrutt's Palace Hotel and El Trebol, among others.
While Fagan was previously reported as the captain of the Irish international polo team, recent statements from the All Ireland Polo Club indicate that he was never a member of their organization. Individuals familiar with Fagan’s polo involvement described him as a competent horseman but not among the top-tier players.
