Richard Minter (born October 4, 1954) is an American football coach who is the senior defensive analyst for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the linebackers coach for the Michigan Wolverines and as a defensive coordinator for the Birmingham Iron in the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Minter has previously served as the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati from 1994 to 2003 and as the interim head coach for Marshall University in the 2009 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, compiling a career college football record of 54–63–1.
