In Hindu mythology, Rohini (Sanskrit: रोहिणी, lit. 'Ascending', IAST: Rohiṇī) is the first consort of Vasudeva , and the mother of the Hindu deities Balarama and Subhadra. She plays a prominent role in the upbringing of Krishna.
