Ryazansky District (Russian: Ряза́нский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,170 square kilometers (840 sq mi). Its administrative center is the city of Ryazan (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 56,869 (2010 Census); 56,836 (2002 Census); 74,721 (1989 Soviet census).
