Ryazhsky District (Russian: Ря́жский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,019 square kilometers (393 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Ryazhsk. Population: 29,026 (2010 Census); 31,097 (2002 Census); 37,322 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Ryazhsk accounts for 74.7% of the district's total population.
