Sabarkantha district is one of the 33 districts of Gujarat state of India, located in the northeastern part of the state. The administrative headquarters of the district are located in Himatnagar and the National Highway no. 48 passes though this district. The district comprises a total of 1,389 villages (including Pedhmala and Takhatgadh Kampa) and has an estimated population of 2.5 million people as of January 2025 based on recent demographic projections.
