Sakskøbing (Danish pronunciation: [ˈsɑksˌkʰøˀpe̝ŋ]), previously spelled Sakskjøbing, is a town on the island of Lolland in south Denmark. It has a population of 4,514 (1 January 2025). Until 1 January 2007 it was the seat of the former Sakskøbing Municipality (Danish: kommune), and is now situated in Guldborgsund Municipality in Region Sjælland.
The town is located on the northeast coast of Lolland where the Sakskøbing River flows into the Sakskøbing Fjord, a narrow but navigable sea inlet, the innermost part of which constitutes the port of Sakskøbing. Mentioned for the first time in 1240, it arose as a ford over the river, and is referred to as a market town as early as 1270.
