Salgótarján (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈʃɒlɡoːtɒrjaːn]; Slovak: Šalgotarján, German: Schalgau) is a city with county rights in Hungary, the capital of Nógrád County, north-eastern Hungary, making it the third least populous county capital. The nearby Salgó Castle is a well-known tourist attraction.
