"Sex Therapy" is a song by American singer-songwriter Robin Thicke from his fourth studio album, Sex Therapy: The Session (2009). It was released as the album's lead single on October 20, 2009, by Star Trak and Interscope Records. The song was written by Thicke, Ester Dean, Jamal "Polow da Don" Jones and Paul "Hot Sauce" Dawson, and produced by the latter two alongside Thicke. Musically, "Sex Therapy" is an R&B ballad. Its melody and some other elements of the song were sampled from Lesley Gore's 1963 hit song "It's My Party".
