The Sharjah Cricket Stadium (Arabic: ملعب الشارقة للكريكيت) is located in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. It holds the record for being the venue that hosted the highest number of international matches, 294 matches, up to March 17, 2024.
It was originally constructed in the early 1980s and has been much improved over the years. The stadium hosted its first international matches in April 1984, in the Asia Cup.
It was at this stadium in 1998 where Sachin Tendulkar single handedly took the Indian team to victory with 143 runs scored by him and also winning that match against Australia during the 1997-98 Coca-Cola Cup tournament. He also scored 134 runs against the same team in the final match of that tournament.
