Shchuchansky District (Russian: Щу́чанский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,809 square kilometers (1,085 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Shchuchye. Population: 23,547 (2010 Census); 26,392 (2002 Census); 30,743 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Shchuchye accounts for 46.6% of the district's total population.
