Shiogama (塩竈市 or 塩釜市, Shiogama-shi) is a city located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2019, the city had an estimated population of 52,662, and a population density of 3,032 persons per km² in 23,270 households. The total area of the city is 17.37 square kilometres (6.71 sq mi).
