Lekwungen (Lekwungen: lək̓ʷəŋiʔnəŋ; also called Songhees, Songish, or Lekwungeeneng) is a variety of North Straits Salish, a Salishan language spoken by the Lekwungen on Vancouver Island in British Columbia in Canada and on San Juan Island in the State of Washington in the United States. As of 2018, there was only one elderly native speaker of lək̓ʷəŋiʔnəŋ, but there are ongoing movements to revitalize it.
